ܘܟܕ ܫܠܡ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܡܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܠܟܐ ܘܟܠܗ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ

When Solomon had finished the building of Yahweh’s house, the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܬܓܠܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܠ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܕܬܪ̈ܬܝܢ ܙܒ̈ܢܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܬܓܠܝ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܒܓܒܥܘܢ
bgbewn elwhy d'thgly 'yk zbnyn dthrthyn shlymwn el mry' 'thgly hydyn
Yahweh appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon.

ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗ ܡܪܝܐ ܫܡܥܬ ܨܠܘܬܟ ܘܒܥܘܬܟ ܕܒܥܝܬ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܩܕܫܬ ܠܝ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܒܢܝܬ ܠܡܣܡ ܫܡܝ ܬܡܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܘܢܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܥܝܢ̈ܝ ܘܠܒܝ ܬܡܢ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ
ywmth' klhwn thmn wlby eyny wnhwyn lelm edm' thmn shmy lmsm dbnyth hn' lbyth' ly wqdshth qdmy mn dbeyth wbewthk tslwthk shmeth mry' lh w'mr
Yahweh said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before me. I have made this house holy, which you have built, to put my name there forever; and my eyes and my heart shall be there perpetually.

ܘܐܢܬ ܐܢ ܬܗܠܟ ܩܕܡܝ ܐܝܟ ܕܗܠܟ ܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܘܟ ܒܬܡܝܡܘܬ ܠܒܐ ܘܒܬܪܝܨܘܬܐ ܠܡܥܒܕ ܐܝܟ ܕܦܩܕܬܟ ܘܩܝ̈ܡܝ ܘܕܝܢ̈ܝ ܬܛܪ
thTr wdyny wqymy dpqdthk 'yk lmebd wbthrytswth' lb' bthmymwth 'bwk dwyd dhlk 'yk qdmy thhlk 'n w'nth
As for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep my statutes and my ordinances,

ܐܩܝܡ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܟ ܥܠ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܥܠܡ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܡܪܬ ܠܕܘܝܕ ܐܒܘܟ ܕܠܐ ܢܥܢܕ ܠܟ ܓܒܪܐ ܡܢ ܟܘܪܣܝܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܝܠ
d'ysryl kwrsy' mn gbr' lk nend dl' 'bwk ldwyd d'mrth 'yk lelm 'ysryl el dmlkwthk kwrsy' 'qym
then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, ‘There shall not fail from you a man on the throne of Israel.’

ܘܐܢ ܡܗܦܟ ܬܗܦܟܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܬܪܝ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܒܢܝ̈ܟܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܬܛܪܘܢ ܦܘܩ̈ܕܢܝ ܘܩܝ̈ܡܝ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܩܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܘܬܐܙܠܘܢ ܘܬܦܠܚܘܢ ܠܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܘܬܣܓܕܘܢ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn wthsgdwn 'khrn' l'lh' wthplkhwn wth'zlwn qdmykwn dyhbth wqymy pwqdny thTrwn wl' wbnykwn 'nthwn bthry mn thhpkwn mhpk w'n
But if you turn away from following me, you or your children, and not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them,

ܐܘܒܕ ܠܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܘܒܝܬܐ ܕܩܕܫܬ ܠܫܡܝ ܐܥܩܪܝܘܗܝ ܡܢ ܩܕܡܝ ܘܢܗܘܐ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܡܬܠܐ ܘܠܬܘܢܝܐ ܒܟܘܠܗܘܢ ܥܡ̈ܡܐ
emm' bkwlhwn wlthwny' lmthl' 'ysryl wnhw' qdmy mn 'eqrywhy lshmy dqdshth wbyth' lhwn dyhbth 're' 'py mn l'ysryl 'wbd
then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

ܘܒܝܬܐ ܗܢܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܚܪܒ ܘܟܠ ܕܢܥܒܪ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܢܬܡܗ ܘܢܫܪܩ ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܥܠ ܡܢܐ ܥܒܕ ܡܪܝܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܐܪܥܐ ܗܕܐ ܘܠܒܝܬܐ ܗܢܐ
hn' wlbyth' hd' l're' hkn' mry' ebd mn' el wn'mrwn wnshrq nthmh elwhy dnebr wkl khrb nhw' hn' wbyth'
Though this house is so high, yet everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss; and they will say, ‘Why has Yahweh done this to this land and to this house?’

ܘܢܐܡܪܘܢ ܥܠ ܕܫܒܩܘ ܠܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܗܘܢ ܕܐܦܩ ܠܐ̈ܒܗܝܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܘܐܚܕܘ ܒܐ̈ܠܗܐ ܕܥܡ̈ܡܐ ܐܚܪ̈ܢܐ ܘܦܠܚܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܘܣܓܕܘ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܝܬܝ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܟܠܗ
klh hd' byshth' mry' elyhwn 'ythy hn' mTl lhwn wsgdw 'nwn wplkhw 'khrn' demm' b'lh' w'khdw dmtsryn 're' mn l'bhyhwn d'pq 'lhhwn lmry' dshbqw el wn'mrwn
and they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned Yahweh their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore Yahweh has brought all this evil on them.’”

ܘܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܕܒܢܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܒܬ̈ܝܢ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܝܬ ܡܠܟܐ
mlk' wbyth dmry' bythh bthyn thryn shlymwn dbn' shnyn esryn bthr mn whw'
At the end of twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, Yahweh’s house and the king’s house

ܘܚܝܪܡ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܨܘܪ ܬܪܣܝ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܕܐܪܙܐ ܘܒܩܝ̈ܣܐ ܕܫܪܘܝܢܐ ܘܒܕܗܒܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܨܒܐ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܝܗܒ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܚܝܪܡ ܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܓܠܝܠܐ
dglyl' b're' qwry' esryn lkhyrm shlymwn mlk' yhb hydyn dtsb' 'yk wbdhb' dshrwyn' wbqys' d'rz' bqys' lshlymwn thrsy dtswr mlk' wkhyrm
(now Hiram the king of Tyre had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and cypress trees, and with gold, according to all his desire), King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

ܘܢܦܩ ܚܝܪܡ ܡܢ ܨܘܪ ܠܡܚܙܐ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܫܦܪ ܒܥܝ̈ܢܘܗܝ
beynwhy shpr wl' shlymwn lh dyhb qwry' lmkhz' tswr mn khyrm wnpq
Hiram came out of Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him; and they didn’t please him.

ܘܐܡܪ ܡܢܐ ܐܢܝ̈ܢ ܗܠܝܢ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܝܗܒܬ ܠܝ ܐܚܝ ܘܩܪܐ ܐܢܝ̈ܢ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܟܒܘܠܝ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ
lywmn' edm' dkbwly 're' 'nyn wqr' 'khy ly dyhbth qwry' hlyn 'nyn mn' w'mr
He said, “What cities are these which you have given me, my brother?” He called them the land of Cabul to this day.

ܘܫܕܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܚܝܪܡ ܠܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܡܐܐ ܘܥܣܪ̈ܝܢ ܟܟܪ̈ܐ ܕܕܗܒܐ
ddhb' kkr' wesryn m'' shlymwn lmlk' khyrm mlk' wshdr
Hiram sent to the king one hundred twenty talents of gold.

ܘܗܢܐ ܦܘܣܩܢܐ ܕܡܕܐܬܐ ܕܐܣܩ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܡܒܢܐ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܒܝܬܗ ܘܒܢܐ ܫܘܪܐ ܕܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܡܠܘ ܘܚܨܘܪ ܘܡܓܕܘ ܘܓܙܪ
wgzr wmgdw wkhtswr wmlw d'wrshlm shwr' wbn' wbythh dmry' bythh lmbn' shlymwn mlk' d'sq dmd'th' pwsqn' whn'
This is the reason of the forced labor which King Solomon conscripted: to build Yahweh’s house, his own house, Millo, Jerusalem’s wall, Hazor, Megiddo, and Gezer.

ܘܦܪܥܘܢ ܡܠܟܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ ܣܠܩ ܗܘܐ ܘܟܒܫܗ ܠܓܙܪ ܘܐܘܩܕܗ ܒܢܘܪܐ ܘܠܟܢ̈ܥܢܝܐ ܕܝܬܒܝܢ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܩܛܠ ܘܝܗܒܗ ܡܘܗܒܬܐ ܠܒܪܬܗ ܐܢܬܬ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ
shlymwn 'nthth lbrthh mwhbth' wyhbh qTl bqryth' dythbyn wlkneny' bnwr' w'wqdh lgzr wkbshh hw' slq dmtsryn mlk' wprewn
Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up, taken Gezer, burned it with fire, killed the Canaanites who lived in the city, and given it for a wedding gift to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.

ܘܒܢܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܠܓܙܪ ܘܠܒܝܬ ܚܘܪܢ ܬܚܬܝܬܐ

Solomon built in the land Gezer, Beth Horon the lower,

ܘܠܟܠܗܝܢ ܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܓܙܐ ܕܗ̈ܘܝ ܠܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܘܠܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܐ ܘܠܩܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܕܦܪ̈ܫܐ ܘܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܠܡܒܢܐ ܒܐܘܪܫܠܡ ܘܒܠܒܢܢ ܘܒܟܠܗ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܫܘܠܛܢܗ

all the storage cities that Solomon had, the cities for his chariots, the cities for his horsemen, and that which Solomon desired to build for his pleasure in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.

ܘܟܠܗ ܥܡܐ ܕܐܫܬܚܪܘ ܡܢ ܐܡܘܪ̈ܝܐ ܘܚ̈ܬܝܐ ܘܦܪ̈ܙܝܐ ܘܚ̈ܘܝܐ ܘܝܒ̈ܘܣܝܐ ܕܠܐ ܗܘܘ ܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ
'ysryl bny mn hww dl' wybwsy' wkhwy' wprzy' wkhthy' 'mwry' mn d'shthkhrw em' wklh
As for all the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel—

ܒ̈ܢܝܗܘܢ ܕܐܫܬܚܪܘ ܡܢ ܒܬܪܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܐܫܟܚܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܡܘܒܕܘ ܐܢܘܢ ܥܒܕ ܐܢܘܢ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܥܒ̈ܕܐ ܡܣܩ̈ܝ ܡܕܐܬܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ
lywmn' edm' md'th' msqy ebd' shlymwn 'nwn ebd 'nwn lmwbdw 'ysryl bny 'shkkhw wl' bthrhwn mn d'shthkhrw bnyhwn
their children who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel were not able utterly to destroy—of them Solomon raised a levy of bondservants to this day.

ܘܡܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܐ ܝܗܒ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܥܒ̈ܕܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܗܢܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܩܪ̈ܒܬܢܐ ܘܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܘܗܝ ܘܓܢܒܪ̈ܘܗܝ ܘܪ̈ܘܪܒܢܝ ܡܪ̈ܟܒܬܗ ܘܦܪ̈ܫܘܗܝ
wprshwhy mrkbthh wrwrbny wgnbrwhy wrwrbnwhy webdwhy qrbthn' gbr' 'nwn dhnwn mTl ebd' shlymwn yhb l' 'ysryl bny wmn
But of the children of Israel Solomon made no bondservants; but they were the men of war, his servants, his princes, his captains, and rulers of his chariots and of his horsemen.

ܗܠܝܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܩܝ̈ܘܡܐ ܕܥܠ ܥܒܕܐ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܚܡܫܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܕܫ̈ܠܝܛܝܢ ܥܠ ܥܡܐ ܘܡܥܒܕܝܢ ܒܥܒܕܐ
bebd' wmebdyn em' el dshlyTyn wkhmshyn khmshm'' dshlymwn ebd' del qywm' 'nwn hlyn
These were the five hundred fifty chief officers who were over Solomon’s work, who ruled over the people who labored in the work.

ܘܒܪܬ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܣܠܩܬ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܠܒܝܬܐ ܕܒܢܐ ܠܗ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܗܝܕܝܢ ܒܢܐ ܠܡܠܘ
lmlw bn' hydyn shlymwn lh dbn' lbyth' ddwyd qrythh mn slqth prewn wbrth
But Pharaoh’s daughter came up out of David’s city to her house which Solomon had built for her. Then he built Millo.

ܘܡܣܩ ܗܘܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܬܠܬ ܙܒ̈ܢܝܢ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܥ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܘܫ̈ܠܡܐ ܥܠ ܡܕܒܚܐ ܕܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܣܐܡ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܒܣ̈ܡܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܫܠܡܗ ܠܒܝܬܐ
lbyth' wshlmh mry' qdm bsm' elwhy ws'm mry' dqdm mdbkh' el wshlm' elwth' bshnth' zbnyn thlth shlymwn hw' wmsq
Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to Yahweh three times per year, burning incense with them on the altar that was before Yahweh. So he finished the house.

ܘܥܒܕ ܣܦܝܢܬܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܫܠܝܡܘܢ ܒܥܨܝܢܘܓܒܪ ܕܥܡ ܐܠܘܬ ܥܠ ܣܦܬ ܝܡܐ ܕܣܘܦ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܐܪܘܕ
d'rwd b're' dswp ym' spth el 'lwth dem betsynwgbr shlymwn mlk' spynth' webd
King Solomon made a fleet of ships in Ezion Geber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom.

ܘܫܕܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܚܝܪܡ ܠܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܒܣܦܝܢܬܐ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܣ̈ܦܢܐ ܕܝܕܥܝܢ ܝܡܐ ܥܡ ܥܒ̈ܕܘܗܝ ܕܫܠܝܡܘܢ
dshlymwn ebdwhy em ym' dydeyn spn' gbr' bspynth' lebdwhy khyrm mlk' wshdr
Hiram sent in the fleet his servants, sailors who had knowledge of the sea, with the servants of Solomon.
